2012 Carolina Classic
Well folks, it is time to announce the details of our annual Invitational event
here in the Carolinas. The Carolina Classic has become one of the best
Invitationals in the country - and it is thanks to people like you that have
supported it for the ten years or so that it has been in place.
In 2012, we will be returning to Burlington Assembly of God on Feb. 25 for this
one day event. As always, we will use all of the Fact-Pak, including the NIV
2011 for those teams that have chosen to use that version this year. In
accordance with National rules, we will accommodate teams that use the NIV 1984
and KJV. All National rules will be used.
We do have a host hotel and to help keep costs down it would be helpful for
teams to use that. Details will be sent out to all teams upon registration. We
do ask that teams provide 2 officials and a quiz box. Other pertinent details
for now include;
Cost - $100/team. Checks payable to Brian King and mailed to me at 115
Rockwell Loop, Mooresville, NC 28115. Receipts provided upon request.
Date/Time - Feb. 25, 2012 from 9 AM until approximately 4 PM. Format will
be decided upon final roster of teams.
Location - Burlington A/G, 821 Tucker St., Burlington, NC 27215
Trophies for all quizzers and ribbons for top teams/top quizzers.
Deadline to register - 9 AM on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. I do need to know
the head coach and names of all quizzers (up to 8).
Lunch is provided for up to 8 people per team. There will be a cost for
each person above 8, and time will not permit for anyone to leave the grounds
for lunch.
