News Congratulations
to All Four Indiana Teams at Nationals! All of the quizzers from Indiana did a great job at the National Festival, but one quizzer deserves special recognition for being one of the top ten individual high-scorers for the tournament. Landon Williams from Fort Wayne First Assembly had the 5th highest average score (98.7 points per round) from among the hundreds of quizzers at the tournament. Check out the complete official results on the JBQ National Festival website (http://www.jbqfestival.org). Rule

Change for the State Finals Due to construction delays, the location for the Indiana JBQ State Finals has been changed. Because of the late notice, the only available location that could host an event this size is in Northeast Indiana. The Indiana JBQ finals will now be held on March 19-20, 2004, in Fort Wayne at First Assembly of God. (Please note that the desire was to host this event at a more centralized location, but unfortunately attempts to do this failed.) Links to the registration form and directions can be found in the red box in the upper right hand column of this page. Corvette

JBQ News ... As the new JBQ season approaches, you can feel the excitement. The quizzers have learned their cards and are anxious to get to the quiz table. Coaches and league coordinators are making sure that everything is ready for the first meet. It will be another great year of children learning God's Word through JBQ. With this in mind, you will want to read the August newsletter from Pastor Barry. There are articles about Pee Wee quizzing, floating leagues, the new coordinators, and ... drum roll please ... the State Meet that is "open to all". Have a great year! Schedules
Set for JBQ 2003-2004 ... Last year we had floating leagues, and the feedback from across the state was very positive. So we will be doing it again this year. At this point, we are scheduling churches to host the meets this year. If your church is willing to host a meet, please contact Pastor Barry Jorris. Coach's
Training Offered ... Attention all JBQ coaches! Mark down August 15th - 16th on the your calendar and plan to attend the first Great Lakes Regional Coach's Training. It will be held at the Indiana District Campgrounds in Hartford City. Those who will be teaching workshops and sharing ideas have been to Nationals and know what it takes to get there. As you begin implementing what you will learn, your teams will improve and become more competitive. This will encourage your quizzers to keep learning God's Word. And who knows? You might even find yourself at the National JBQ Festival in June. For more information, please contact Pastor Barry Jorris.
